SMRT Appoints Phua Yung Keat as Group Chief Financial Officer

1. The Board of Directors of SMRT Corporation Ltd (the “Company”) wishes to announce that Mr. Phua Yung Keat will be appointed as the Group CFO (Chief Financial Officer) on 1 October 2023, succeeding Ms. Cindy Lau Kee Mei, who has resigned from the Company to pursue her personal interests. Ms. Cindy Lau will be redesignated as Advisor to the GCFO from 1 October 2023 to 16 November 2023.

2. Reporting to the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), Mr Ngien Hoon Ping, Mr Phua Yung Keat will be overall responsible for the finance, tax and treasury functions for SMRT group of companies. Mr Phua Yung Keat will support GCEO and the senior leadership team in providing strategic finance leadership and commercial perspectives to build and grow the business.

3. The Board and the Management of the Company thank Ms. Cindy Lau for her valuable contributions to the Company, and warmly welcome her successor, Mr. Phua Yung Keat.
