Train services on Thomson-East Coast Line to start later on Saturdays and Sundays from 26 February to 29 May 2022
Additional Engineering Hours to Facilitate Integrated Testing
1. Train services on the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) from Woodlands North station to Caldecott station will start later at 8.00am every Saturday and Sunday from 26 February to 29 May 2022*. The timings for the daily last train and the first train on weekdays remain unchanged.
2 The additional engineering hours are to support the testing of the integrated systems and trains for TEL Stages 1 to 3. Similar arrangements were also put in place to support testing activities for TEL Stage 2.
Alternative Travel Arrangements
3 Commuters can use existing public bus services such as 162/162M, 167, 855, 856 and 980 to travel along the existing TEL corridor. They can also use some of these bus services to transfer to other rail lines, such as the North-South Line or the Circle Line, to continue their travel on the rail network.
4 Commuters are advised to check for travel updates before starting their trip. Information is available on the LTA and SMRT Facebook and Twitter accounts, LTA Traffic News, MyTransport.SG and SMRTConnect app.
