FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Early Closure on Tuas West Extension

along East-West Line on 21 and 28 Nov

for 22kV circuit breaker trip coil replacement works

  1. To facilitate 22kV circuit breaker trip coil replacement works along the Tuas West Extension (TWE), four MRT stations from Gul Circle to Tuas Link along the East-West Line (EWL) will close earlier at about 11.00pm on 21 and 28 November 2020 (Saturdays).

  1. As a pre-emptive measure against power cable faults and potential service disruptions, it was previously announced that all 113 22kV circuit breakers trip coils along the TWE will be replaced. The Early Closures along the TWE in November will accelerate trip coil replacement and enable works to be completed by end 2020.
