Changes in Operating Hours for Thomson-East Coast Line from July to August 2020

 

1. From 20 July to 30 August 2020, train services on Stage 1 of the Thomson- East Coast Line (TEL1) from Woodlands North to Woodlands South will close earlier at 9.00pm daily from Monday to Sunday. During weekends, train services will also start later at 6.30am.

2. The additional engineering hours will be used to continue testing of the integrated systems and trains in preparation for the opening of Stage 2 of the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL2).

Alternative Travel Arrangements

3. Commuters may use existing public bus services 169, 856 and 901/M to travel within the vicinity of Woodlands. They may also use these bus services to transfer to the North-South Line at Woodlands Station to continue their travel on the rail network.
 

4. The timing of the first and last trains departing from each station during the planned closures will vary. Commuters are advised to check the departure times at the affected stations or on SMRT Trains’ website and social media platforms to better plan their journeys ahead of time.
