Learning Journey

Learning Journey tours are organised for students to have a glimpse into our work behind-the-scenes. They are conducted only as a group for about 40pax on fixed dates, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Admission is free for MOE schools.

The SMRT Learning Journey brings participants to the following depots:  

The world’s largest underground depot and home to the fully‑automated Circle Line. The programme highlights safety and security features within our train network and offer participants a glimpse into our behind-the-scenes activities. 

Where the Singapore Rail Discovery Centre (SRDC) is housed. The SRDC is the first of its kind by a public transport operator in Singapore, is an interactive exhibition telling the story of Singapore’s railway and showcases our people’s technical expertise and the technological advancements we employ in the industry. 

Home to the first Light Rail Transit (LRT) system in Singapore – Bukit Panjang LRT (BPLRT). Participants can understand more about the LRT features and embark on an experiential learning. 

Adopt-A-Station/Interchange Programme

Marking its 10th year in 2024, Adopt-A-Station/Interchange Programmes bring students into our network as Student Service Ambassadors, playing a crucial role in promoting gracious commuting and safeguarding the well-being of our elderly passengers. Through this programme, we impart values to nurture a compassionate and inclusive community.
