Accessibility is a key priority for SMRT. By prioritising accessibility, SMRT ensures that all individuals, regardless of age or ability, can access public transport infrastructure with ease. We ensure inclusivity and accessibility through thorough and thoughtful design of transport infrastructure, as well as accompanying technologies to make the commuting experience a more inclusive and accessible one.

With our "Go-To SMRT – We Love to Help" initiative, we offer a range of facilities and services, making our MRT stations and bus interchanges the go-to destinations for anyone in need of assistance. Our people stand ready to provide Go-To SMRT services to anyone who may require them, embodying the spirit of care and support that defines SMRT.

We are the first public transport operator in Asia to deploy NaviLens to help visually-impaired commuters navigate around our public transport network. We rolled out NaviLens, which is a navigation mobile app that provides audible information for visually impaired users to get around places. This was implemented at the Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub in 2022.

Since then, we have expanded the use of NaviLens to Bukit Panjang Integrated Transport Hub and Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange.

We continually enhance wayfinding for commuters and have introduced NaviLens Go, an app to enable members of the public to navigate our three bus interchanges – Bukit Panjang, Choa Chu Kang, and Woodlands – in a faster and more effective way.
