ChargEco, a collaboration between Strides Mobility and YTL PowerSeraya, has become the first Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Point Operator to successfully complete the first batch of Housing & Development Board (HDB) carpark EV charging points under the Land Transport Authority’s (LTA) recent large-scale tender. The launch event for ChargEco’s three new EV charging points at Block 80 Telok Blangah Street 31 multi-storey carpark was attended by Guest of Honour and Minister for Transport S Iswaran.
General Manager of ChargEco, Mr Richard Chin, says: “The new EV chargers have been in operation for two weeks and have received positive feedback from users.” He added that the company has designed a user-friendly app and operates a 24/7 call centre to provide better service to its customers.
Under the tender, ChargEco will provide EV charging services at a total of 364 HDB carparks, and the EV chargers are expected to be completed by mid-2025. ChargEco aims to provide affordable, reliable, and sustainable charging services at private premises, such as condominiums, shopping malls, commercial buildings, and industrial parks.
