SMRT proudly launched Tap For Hope 2024, a fundraising initiative coinciding with National Day festivities. This campaign supports the President’s Challenge, aiming to inspire commuters to give back and uplift the less fortunate.
Running from 5 July to 30 September 2024, Tap For Hope is now in its fourth edition. Ms. Sun Xueling, Minister of State for Home Affairs and Social and Family Development, inaugurated the event at HarbourFront MRT station’s donation stand.
To further encourage participation, the campaign leverages National Day festivities, tapping into the patriotic spirit of Singaporeans. The initiative spans eight MRT stations and two bus interchanges, allowing donations of $2, $8, $10, $20, $50, or $100 using EZ-Link cards, MasterCard, Visa, JCB, or Alipay+ e-wallets. PayNow QR code donations are also available. Proceeds benefit 65 agencies under the President’s Challenge.
Providing commuters with an accessible platform to support meaningful causes, Tap For Hope exemplifies SMRT’s dedication to using its spaces and resources for social good. The network of MRT stations and bus interchanges serves as a conduit for social good, turning everyday journeys into opportunities for giving back.
Join us in sharing your support for Tap For Hope 2024. Together, we can make every journey count towards building a more inclusive Singapore.
"SMRT is honoured to champion meaningful community and social-centric initiatives. United in purpose, we invite everyone to join SMRT in making a positive difference, one tap at a time."
