Mr Lee Ling Wee is the Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer of SMRT Corporation and a Director of SMRT Trains Ltd. Mr Lee leads the Strides International team in business development and a key project under Strides International will be the signature Rapid Transit System (RTS) between Singapore and Johor Bahru. Mr Lee is also a Director of Strides Frontiers. Ltd., and Silveray Pte.Ltd. He was the Chief Executive Officer of SMRT Trains before his appointment as Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer, SMRT Corporation Ltd and President, SMRT International. On 1 May 2024, he was appointed as President, Engineering concurrently.
Prior to joining SMRT, Mr Lee was Head of Air Engineering and Logistics with the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF). Mr Lee was with the RSAF for over 20 years and during his time there, he held various senior leadership roles and directed fleet management, competency and resource optimisation programmes.
He also honed his expertise in engineering and maintenance, airworthiness, integrated supply chain and life cycle management for the entire fleet of aircraft and weapons systems in the RSAF.
Mr Lee holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Ecole Nationale de l’Aviation Civile in France, and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore.
