Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer and President, International and Engineering
Mr Lee Ling Wee is our Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer and leads SMRT's International and Engineering business groups. For the International Group. Mr Lee drives the business development efforts, and one of the key projects is the signature Rapid Transit System (RTS) between Singapore and Johor Bahru. For the Engineering Group, Mr Lee is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for all matters pertaining to raising and sustaining data, digital, technology and engineering capabilities.
Mr Lee was the Chief Executive Officer of SMRT Trains before his appointments as Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer, SMRT Corporation Ltd and President, International.
Prior to joining SMRT, Mr Lee was Head of Air Engineering and Logistics with the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF). Mr Lee was with the RSAF for over 20 years and during his time there, he held various senior leadership roles and directed fleet management, competency and resource optimisation programmes.
He also honed his expertise in engineering and maintenance, airworthiness, integrated supply chain and life cycle management for the entire fleet of aircraft and weapons systems.
Mr Lee holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Ecole Nationale de l’Aviation Civile in France, and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore.
