As we celebrated Singapore's 58th birthday, we shared a different perspective of this island city that we all call home.
From 17 July to 23 August 2023, 22 photographs depicting the country’s landmarks, sceneries and daily activities were featured in a six-week long exhibition titled Singapore: Through the Lens of Our Migrant Workers at Bayfront MRT station on the Circle Line. The photos were also displayed in trains and at stations on the North-South, East-West and Circle Lines.
The exhibition was a curation of images by migrant workers with a passion for photography. They are guided by volunteer trainers at Holdinghands Studio, a social enterprise that aims to uplift under-resourced communities through photography.
